How can you be a better employee?

Improving your performance and attitude at work can have a knock on effect on many things. You may find that you are given extra responsibility, possibly a pay rise and importantly you may also discover that you get more satisfaction out of your job. Job satisfaction is important as this can also affect your home life and if you can find satisfaction in your job, then you will most likely be more productive.
Once in a while it is a good idea to evaluate your own performance at work and see what areas you need to improve on. A recent study showed that lots of employees feel that their time keeping is not up to scratch. This can often be very important for an employer and if it happens regularly can result in disciplinary and possible even dismissal from the job.
Another area you may want to consider is how much pride you take in your work. If you are rushing through so you can finish early or have time to chill out then you may not be completing tasks to the best of your ability and this is not showing that you are an asset to the company.
