Setting up a recruitment business can be hard work. You will need to plan carefully about what areas of recruitment you want to go in to and if you are going to be offering permanent, temporary or both types of placements.  Some recruitment firms specialise in teaching recruitment or manufacturing for example. There is often a lor of competition for recruitment firm so you will need to have a reason that people want to advertise their jobs through you, a unique selling point (USP).

It may be that you are able to offer much more competitive rates, or that you have thousands of skilled workers on your books. If you are just starting up you may need to offer reduced rates until you are fully established.

You will need to ensure that you have got business cards in place and that you can attend networking events on a regular basis to introduce people to your business. Marketing is essential to get any business off the ground. You should have a website and do online marketing through your website and other social media sites to attract new clientele.

Be sure that you have enough people on your books before approaching employers so that you are able to fill positions quickly if needed.
